Job Description

School of Industrial Engineering and Management is seeking qualified candidates to take the following responsibilities: 

  • Teaching Performance: the minimum requirement is 270 periods per year, including courses relating to Logistics and Supply Chain Management such as Industrial Intelligent Systems, Industrial Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain for E-commerce, etc. for both graduates and undergraduate students
  • Conduct research projects and publish at least 1 international scientific paper or 2 domestic ones
  • Design, coordinate, implement and initiate/lead research on lab and field studies according to expertise
  • Being in charge of academic advisor to student as well as other academic affairs such as Internship Supervision, Project Supervision and work related to thesis including Supervision, Review, Committee, etc.
  • Build productive relations between IU and the enterprises to develop the collaborative research, international and industrial collaborations
  • Participate in practical research projects of The School
  • Perform the assigned service jobs of the school and/or university
Requirements

Qualification: Having a PhD degree at a renowned institution

Major: Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Skills:

English: 

  • Have an IELTS of at least 7.0 or equivalent. 
  • Candidates must have experience teaching specialized subjects fluently in English for teaching 100% in English
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills in English

Computer: 

  • Be excellent in using Microsoft Office, Statistical Software…. 
  • Have programming experience either in C++, Python or R. 
  • Have experience in one of the following: Cplex, Lingo, Simulation Softwares

Others:

  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be reliable, patient and professional.
  • Be result and performance oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently with teamwork spirit

Experience: 

  • Candidates should have deep understanding of programming languages.
  • Candidates should have had proven academic or industrial research experience (please provide a list of projects that you had taken and indicate your roles).
  • Candidates should have been successfully mentor graduate students.
  • Candidates have track record in external funding is a plus.
  • Candidates have postdoctoral experience is a plus
Other requirements:  
  • Ready to work as soon as possible
  • Make a long-term commitment to working, be able to work for at least 3 years at International University
  • Good ethics
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Candidates are preferred to have strong publication records (peer-reviewed Journals and Conf. Proceedings)
